Our Data Centre

Net24’s Data Centre facility is situated in Christchurch, New Zealand. Ongoing investment in the Data Centre infrastructure, security and redundancy allows Net24 to provide a secure environment from which to provide its services from.

Location

Amuri Business Park is located on the outskirts of the Christchurch CBD.

Security – Perimeter

  • Security fencing encompasses the park with CCV (closed circuit video) surveillance cameras recording all entry/entry points and open areas

  • Chubb Security patrols every night at random times to ensure the park remains secure. After hours access to approved personnel only.

Security - Building

  • No signage, nondescript building

  • No ground floor access. Single entry and exit point.

Site Access

  • 24/7 secured access with proxy card access

  • Access by appointment only with visitors register

  • Axis network cameras monitoring and recording all movement.

Network

  • Border Gate Protocol (BGP4)

  • Fully redundant architecture utilising Cisco Catalyst switches

  • Multiple POE’s (Point of Entry) for fibre, electricity and generator inputs with N+1 redundancy, ensure no single point of failure

  • Isolated service networks for backups, management and public services ensure the highest levels of security and performance by segregating traffic on physically separate networks

  • Metered and monitored PDU (Power Distribution Units) to prevent overloading conditions

  • 99.99% Service Level Agreement.

Power Systems

  • Custom designed and engineered redundant main switchboard, with integrated change-over switching (mains/generator)

  • Dedicated 1- phase and 3-phase mains supply to UPS’s

  • APC Symmetra® and Infrastructure® UPS systems

  • Auto-Start Diesel Generator Backup (serviced and load-tested monthly). Fuel capacity exceeds 8 hours – additional fuel access 15 mins.

Environmental Controls

  • Redundant 3- phase air conditioning – constant ambient temperature 18°c (+/- 3 degs) - 19’ racks and shelving seismically braced

  • Monitored heat build up detection system

  • Dust protection at entry and exit points.

Fire Detection Systems

  • Monitored VESDA (very early smoke detection apparatus) system with 3-stage alarm

  • In-house carbon dioxide extinguishers

  • Code 9 monitoring company and Christchurch Fire Brigade less than 1km away.
